Bio

Nikar ● Hana belongs to the Amis People from Taiwan. She is a social entrepreneur and the co-founder of Amis Ugoods Co., Ltd. She works with her family and Indigenous farmers from the south part of Hualien to enhance the visibility and ability of the local Indigenous food system. 

Nikar ● Hanastarted her initiative about the Slow Food movement in 2019, after graduating from the University of Science Gastronomy (Established by Fondazione Slow Food E.T.S.)  

At the beginning, as the co-ordinator for international exchange events from Hualien to the Asia and Pacific region, she gained experience and recognized more community-based issues around the network.  

In 2022, Nikar ● Hana became the Indigenous People Advisory Board Member in the Asia and Pacific region.  

As the new leader of the network, she worked with the core team from Slow Food International to develop the academy for Indigenous youth and women and inspired more people to join the route to defend our Indigenous food system.
