This in-person event will address ways to strengthen Canada-ASEAN security co-operation in the contexts of the ASEAN-Canada Strategic Partnership, Canada’s Indo-Pacific Strategy and the ASEAN Outlook on the Indo-Pacific. Panelists include representatives of Global Affairs Canada, National Defence Canada, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, academic institutions, think-tanks and embassies. The symposium is co-sponsored by York Centre for Asian Research's Canada-ASEAN Initiatives, Global Affairs Canada and APF Canada.
APF Canada's Vice-President, Research and Strategy, Vina Nadjibulla, and Senior Fellow, Karthik Nachiappan, will speak at the event. Distinguished Fellow Julia Bentley will moderate the ambassadors' panel and is a co-organizer of the symposium.
