The Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada is proud to share the virtual launch of its annual Investment Monitor report, which delves into two-way foreign direct investments between Canada and the Asia Pacific.
This webinar (video below) is based on the Investment Monitor 2020: Trade Agreements and Foreign Investment in the Asia Pacific report, which is the first data-driven analysis on the connections between FDI and Canada’s free trade agreements with Asia Pacific economies, examining the first year of Canada’s engagement in the CPTPP agreement. The report explores key questions concerning the who, what, where, when, and how of two-way investments between Canada and the economies of Asia.
The virtual launch of this report coincides with the online release of new data through our investmentmonitor.ca microsite, which allows Canadians to engage data-visualization tools to explore investment relations in both directions by economy and region, down to the local-city and industry-sector level.
This APF Canada webinar was presented on April 30, 2020 by Pauline Stern, Program Manager of APF Canada's Business Asia team, along with presenter Kai Valdez Bettcher and facilitator Isaac Lo, both research analysts with the Foundation. The presentation will be of particular interest to government policy-makers and business leaders interested in the nuanced and evolving trade and investment relationship between Canada and the economies of the Asia Pacific.
