JinHua Yip

JinHua Yip is an M.A. candidate at Johns Hopkins SAIS in Washington D.C., specializing in emerging technology, sustainability, and geopolitics. A Vancouver native with a B.A. in International Relations and Commerce from the University of British Columbia, he has spent over a decade in Shanghai and Hong Kong, gaining a deep understanding of Chinese and North American perspectives on global issues. With experience in political risk advisory at Eurasia Group, public service at Global Affairs Canada and Environment and Climate Change Canada, and entrepreneurship in Hong Kong, he hopes to bring a unique blend of insights into global affairs discourse. As a CAYP Fellow, JinHua is dedicated to advancing Canada’s interests in the Indo-Pacific and strengthening Canadian engagement in the region.
