JinJi Dawson

JinJi Dawson, of Chinese origin, grew up in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. She is a young professional working as a federal public servant with Global Affairs Canada. In 2023, JinJi graduated from Carleton University with a Master of Arts in Migration and Diaspora Studies. Her academic pursuits have cultivated a deep interest in international affairs and migration-related issues. Presently, she is engaged in capacity-building programming initiatives in the Indo-Pacific region, specifically tackling themes related to crime and terrorism. JinJi looks forward to broadening her understanding of other issues impacting the Canada-Asia relationship and exploring potential linkages with security-related concerns.
