Sophia Peou

Sophia is a J.D. candidate at the University of British Columbia with academic and professional interests in the fields of diplomacy and law. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a specialization in global governance and two minors (peace and conflict studies and international trade) from the University of Waterloo. Having also worked for the office of the Embassy of Canada in Cambodia, the Vietnam desk, and the Peace and Stabilization Operations Program under Global Affairs Canada, she hopes to continue researching the engagement of Canada with Northeast and Southeast Asia in the areas of international development, trade, and peacebuilding.
