The Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada is delighted to share the video encore presentations of two recent events from our partners at the David Lam Centre at Simon Fraser University.

The first event, held September 27, 2023, was entitled, Deepening Canada-Japan Relations in the Indo-Pacific.

The multi-partner event commemorated the 95th anniversary of Canada-Japan diplomatic relations by discussing the G7, Japan’s new Free and Open Indo-Pacific outlook, Canada’s Indo-Pacific Strategy, and what these initiatives mean practically for deepening Canada-Japan ties. It was presented with support from the Consulate General of Japan in Vancouver. 

The second event, held March 12, 2024, was entitled, Deepening Canada-Japan-US Relations in the Indo-Pacific.

It featured an international panel of expert commentators discussing Japan's current foreign policy objectives, relations with China and the U.S., and the future of the Canada-Japan relationship. It was presented with support from the Consulate General of Japan in Vancouver.
