The Western Canada Economic Forum (WCEF) is a not-for-profit organization created to showcase the strength of the Western Canadian economy and to create new partnerships for growth. The first annual Western Canada Economic Forum will be held January 24, 2024, at The Petroleum Club in Calgary, Alberta.
WCEF will convene key Western Canada business leaders to discuss how a strong Western Canadian economy strengthens the Canadian economy and, similarly, how a strong Canadian economy can support growth in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.
Our Vice-President, Research & Strategy, Vina Nadjibulla will be speaking at this event.

The Kakehashi Project Young Leaders Workshop invites Canadian student leaders and Japanese international students resident in Canada to engage in exchange through dialogue and cultural activities. Kakehashi, or "bridge" in Japanese, symbolizes the way in which individuals can act as connectors for the two nations and create lasting friendships between Canada and Japan.
The Japan-Canada Kakehashi Project is a youth exchange program funded by the Government of Japan and co-ordinated in Canada by the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada (APF Canada). This event is generously supported by Porte, a youth impact incubator, with contributions from APF Canada and the Kakehashi Project, students from VGC International College, and venue provided by the Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre.

The IPSF 2023 will feature 45 expert speakers from Canada, the U.S., and the Indo-Pacific region over two days (December 4-5, 2023).

- Diverse participation: 150 participants, encompassing federal and provincial government officials, academics, business leaders, the foreign diplomatic corps, and key stakeholders from the Indo-Pacific region.
