Rachel Thibeault

Rachel Thibeault is a current Master of Public Policy and Global Affairs student at the University of British Columbia, with a special focus on global governance and security of the Asia Pacific. She holds a bachelor’s degree (Hons.) in history, primarily modern Chinese and Korean, from Queen’s University. She currently works in Chinese and Taiwanese foreign policy and CCP history and is part of a consulting team for the ERC of Mongolia. In her research, she is especially interested in combining great-power politics with intersectional, grassroots approaches to understand the sociopolitical effects that geopolitical rivalry has on smaller nations.
